Great book. Well written. For those interested in Arabic literature but not comfortable enough with Arabic to approach a novel, this YA novel is perfect. It's a great combination of interesting events, universal themes, and easier language. For better or worse, much of the Arabic literature I've come across so far (admittedly not a lot!), focuses on politics or acts as a vehicle to promote a political view. While this story openly involves the political situation in Palestine, the focus of the story is very much on the main character's various relationships. The politics here feel more like the setting than the narrative.Tags : Ismee Alharakee Farasha - Code Name: Butterfly (Arabic Edition) [Hala Abidi, Mariam Abbas, Ghalia Abbas Ahlam Bsharat] on Amazon.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. The story opens a window on the life of a Palestinian teenage girl. I thoroughly enjoyed discovering her day to day life. How she stores away her questions, dreams and fears in her little treasure box. It drew my attention on how the instability of the region affects her family and the whole village. What I liked the most was how the three girls with different personalities interacted. The book might seem as a light read, but it conveys a strong message.
I really want to know what happen to her next.
Great
