I just recently purchased and read this series and loved it. The consistency in characters from story to story while introducing new ones allows the reader to get invested in their lives and see how they change over time. I love the close knit community that is the White Horse Clan and how they are accepting of everyone despite their differences. It's a great example of acceptance and tolerance.

The squirrel shifters had a lot of maturing to do and after issuing an ultimatum to their gargoyle mates they find themselves in a dangerous predicament. One that results in a pleasant surprise. Fears are laid to rest, relationships are rebuilt, and as always the case with the White Horse Clan, love prevails!

It was disconcerting that the author called Fred's oldest son Colin throughout this whole story when the kids name is Conor. These types of errors in a series are very distracting for the reader and I hope the author makes a correction to this story. This did not detract from the overall story and I loved how the gargoyles found their parents after the years of suffering they had to endure.
