I was so wrapped up in this series I couldn’t wait to hear the last book. I did not find the audible version so I purchased the kindle version. It was the perfect ending to this series. But I believe that Mal, Chrysabelle, and baby should have their book. Doc and Fi should have a twin set too. It would be such a good thing to read. We could tie it in with Mortalis’ brother Augustine and his wife too. Love how the stories intersect.

Great story, great ending, mostly happy for the good guys, would love to see some spin-offs of this story world. Great creating, original plot and captivating, kept my interest the whole way thru all 5 books. Great job!
ended like it had too. I like what happened to Tatiana, but it just all felt like it was supposed to end this way. I love Kristin Painter's writing, but would have loved to see/read more about Comarre politics, life, signum, pretty much how awesome they were. Everything felt rushed and tied up too neatly.
This book was good! It was a good ending to the series Kristen Painter wrote! I really enjoyed this series. It was so different then anything else out there that it kept me coming back and interested to see what was happening in that world. I cannot wait to read more of Kristen's work.
I am really disappointed with this book. This series began fast past and dark, but ended slowly with rainbows and unicorns.

The first half of the book is paced so slowly it felt like a chore. The first 200 pages could have been chopped down to 50. Evil Mal was literally out of it the entire time. We never got to see his beast released, or what his curse made him capable of. The obstacle Chrysabelle had to face to turn him back was so easily overcome it was ridiculous. I really wanted to see them struggle to get back to each other, since they didn't have to earn it their reunion was dull. Even the way it was written fizzled instead of burned.

Fi and Doc's story was also kind of blah. Everyone finding out that Heaven died due to foul play should have really cast suspicion on Fi and put her in danger. Instead there was no reaction at all from the pack. The only person who was outraged was Heaven's brother Remo. A terrible villain and unworthy foe. The Scooby Gang has had a harder times avoiding danger while solving a crime.

Creek's wrap up was an after though and really unnecessary to the overall story. Tatiana seemed to have lost her cunning and ruthless ambition. The Mayor Lola was dumber and dumber as the story went along. There was really no point in making the Chief of Police such a big part of Fi's story. The series is over why introduce a new character, especially since his personal story had no effect on anyone else. And finally Lilith/Mariela's story was ripped off from Stargate SG1 except Adria was a much better super villain. Everyone was so worried about her abilities but she caused a minor ruckus and was never a true threat.

The good news is all of the stories were wrapped up in a neat little bow.
own entire series on my nook, but love the series so much that i bought it in paper back from to add to my collection. i wont give story line spoilers but this series is amazing, its some of the smoothest cant put down reading ive had in a while when i read it. love the characters and story. if books were made into movies id go see them and buy dvd on release.

I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this series.... until this last installment! Very disappointed in how the character storylines ended. It seems that it all was just rushed to have each character's circumstance boringly tied up in a bow just to end the series. Expected the Malcolm and Chrysabelle saga to have a more spectacular finish. Even the secondary characters, were just left blah!There was potential for Creek to go off on his own series, but nothing with the end of this book eluded to that . His character ends with little more than a job change. Where did all the fabulous storyline and writing go! BOO!
